Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc originated in the Loire Valley of France and has been shown to be a natural cross of Sauvignon Blanc and Trousseau. It's well known for producing white wines of full flavor while maintaining great acidity.
Ours is from a vineyard not all that far from the Pacific Ocean in Santa Cruz County – it's right on the edge of the Corralitos wine-growing region. This cool growing location results in a wine that has what we like to call mouth-watering acidity, making it pair well with many foods.
Aged mostly in stainless steel, with a small bit of the blend having been aged in older, neutral, white wine barrels, it has classic Chenin Blanc characteristics of quince, green apple, and honey, along with hints of dry straw.
Enjoy with a wide range of food or alone as an aperitif.
